Rogers E. Harry-O'kuru

Rogers E. Harry-O'kuru was born in Abua, Rivers State, Nigeria. He moved to the USA in 1974 after the Nigeria-Biafra War. He received the B.S. degree in chemistry and biology from Union University, Jackson, TN, USA, in 1977, the M.S. degree in chemistry from UAB, Birmingham, AL, USA, in 1980, and the Ph.D. degree from University of Memphis, Memphis, TN, USA, in 1988. He served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at AE Staley Starch Manufacturing Co., Decatur, IL, USA, and Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Tennessee, Memphis, TN, USA, from 1994 to 1996. He also worked as a Research Chemist at Bio-Oils Research Unit, National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research, United States Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Research Service, Peoria, IL, USA, 1996 to date.
